ARPEL Events in Galapagos
October 2011 – ARPEL workshop on on “Vehicular safety and occupational health management in the oil and gas industry in Latin America and the Caribbean” took place during 18 - 19 October and counted with the presence of international speakers and the participation of 50 professionals of the regional industry. The Workshop Task Force recorded the most relevant aspects of the Workshop for them to be considered by ARPEL Environment, Health and Safety Committee (CASYSIA).
The CASYSIA held its annual meeting on the 20th to discuss its annual work plan and to evaluate ongoing projects. The CASYSIA Steering Committee for the 2011-2013 biennium was elected by unanimity, and is now conformed by Ecopetrol as Chair and the following companies as Vice-Chairs: Pemex, Ancap, RepsolYPF, Petrotrin and Hocol
We thank the host EP-Petroecuador for the excellent organization and hospitality and for allowing us to know one of the most admired places in the region, the Galapagos Islands.
