Our Work

Technical Committees

The work and activities of ARPEL are supported by a number of technical committees staffed by experts from its member companies and associated institutions. They offer members a forum where they can identify, debate and share best practices and solutions, gather and communicate intelligent information and knowledge, and carry out projects, workshops and courses on topics of regional relevance to the industry.

Committees operate with support from the Secretariat, and draw on the knowledge and experience of its membership to produce best practice documents and benchmarking reports, and to raise awareness, enhance understanding and disseminate knowledge on emerging operational and sustainability issues and challenges of relevance and impact to the industry in the region. They also provide training and technical support to members for the implementation of best-in-class processes and systems. Committees often work hand in hand with other industry associations and stakeholders to maximize the impact of their work and activities in the sector’s development and performance.

ARPEL currently has seven technical committees active in three areas of interest:
