Course on Design of Scenarios in Security and Cybersecurity held at YPF

  • Last September 9, YPF hosted the course “Design of Scenarios in Security and Cybersecurity” conducted by Jeimy J. Cano.

    The purpose of this course was to present and discuss the scenario analysis technique applied to security and cybersecurity as a new capacity in the challenge to anticipate emerging threats and risks.

    It was attended by professionals from Pluspetrol, Tenaris, BBVA, Lightech, Deloitte, Relational, KPMG, Metrogas, Prisma and YPF.

    The topics included: characterization of the current scenario (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous); understanding the digital risk; characterization of the cyber risk; analysis of some cyberattacks and their context; conceptual and methodological foundations of security and cybersecurity; basic theory of planning by scenarios; modeling scenarios in security and cybersecurity, and practical application of design of scenarios in security and cybersecurity.

    Jeimy J. Cano, PhD, CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), has over 20 years of experience as an academician, professional and executive in information security, privacy, cybersecurity, digital evidence, information systems, government and IT audit.
