RETOS (Readiness Evaluation/Excel Tool for Oil Spills) constitutes a unique assessment tool that provides guidance for operators in the oil and gas sector and governments to verify their own oil spill preparedness and response management.
Since its launch in 2011, RETOS has been and is being used with different objectives by more than 50 companies and governments in more than 50 countries around the world: North America, Central and South America; the Caribbean; Europe; Africa and Asia.
The training carried out together with SLOM had the objective of facilitating the development of skills to implement the use of RETOS in the assessment of oil spill response planning and readiness, and at the same time providing alternatives to move from basic management stages to levels of excellence.
RETOS is available in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, and can be downloaded free of charge by clicking here
