Discussions during the workshop dealt with the experiences of different oil and gas companies in Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on the challenges for the implementation of process safety management systems and of risk-based management, and also on emergency preparedness and management.
The agenda focused on four key themes: Maturity of Process Safety Management Systems; Process Safety Indicators; Emergency Preparedness and Management; and Management, Performance and Environmental Indicators.
The meeting began with a presentation made by Oldelval and Petroperú, followed by an overview of the results of the annual benchmarking study on process safety incidents conducted by ARPEL, and with success stories by YPF and PAE.
