WORKSHOP ON SOUR WATER MANAGEMENT BY ENAP

  • On May 5, ARPEL's Refining Committee held a new workshop for the exchange of best practices.

    The virtual meeting was attended by more than 50 professionals from the refineries of the Region, and the topic addressed was "Problems and Improvements in Sour Water Management".

    The presentation was given by the chemical engineer Christian Lafuente, from ENAP's Aconcagua refinery.

    During the technical meeting, coordinated by Ricardo Buyatti, ARPEL's downstream manager, the following issues were discussed: Operational Problems of Sour Water Treatment Units; Environmental Restrictions; Generation of Sour Water in Processing Units; Improvement Plan; Summary of Experience of Slop injection as cooling water in Coker Units.
