Sandra Martínez, Chairperson, ARPEL Social Responsibility Committee
“Sustainability is a concept that today is no longer an option for organizations; it is a necessity, not only for their survival but for society as a whole. A management philosophy where the boundaries of business and society merge addressing common actions towards the achievement of a higher good: the collective well-being. A clear and precise statement of this need are today the Sustainable Development Goals, which contribute to align ourselves without limits or boundaries towards the construction of a more balanced, unspoiled, sustainable world, generating a collective and collaborative synergy that substantially widens our individual contribution. In this context, the Social Responsibility Committee is the ideal setting to accompany the industry in Latin America and the Caribbean in the path towards the consolidation of a culture with sustainable approach and thus building social capital.
