ARPEL’S PRESENTATION ON THE SITUATION OF GAS IN DIFFERENT MARKETS AND ENERGY MATRICES IN THE REGION IN THE SOUTH AMERICAN REGIONAL FORUM

  • At the end of October, ARPEL participated of the South American Regional Forum organized by SIGTTO (Society of International Gas Tanker and Terminal Operators).

    The event, which took place at Torre YPF in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was attended by over 150 experts.

    The main issues discussed were the Tango FLNG Project, which is a milestone on the journey of Argentina toward the export of large volumes of LNG and the monetization of Vaca Muerta, in addition to the exchange of experiences, best practices and lessons learned from incidents.

    On behalf of the Association, Mr. Pablo Ferragut, Sustainability Project Manager, gave a talk on "South America's Gas Markets - Trends and Future LNG Development," which is essentially about the situation of gas in different markets and energy matrices in the region, future trends and energy transition.

    The following day, a technical visit was organized to the Tango LNG liquefaction terminal in Compañía Mega facilities in Bahía Blanca.
