COGA, an ARPEL member, will speak about cybersecurity during the Pipeline Technology Conference in Berlin

  • From 12-14 March 2018 Berlin will again host Europe’s leading pipeline conference and exhibition. The 13th edition of the Pipeline Technology Conference (ptc) provides a comprehensive overview of all developments in the onshore and offshore pipeline industry – covering planning & design, construction, operation and maintenance.

    Every year more than 600 pipeline operators as well as technology and service providers, researchers and regulators from 50 different countries gain insight into the latest technologies and new undertakings in the pipeline industry at the ptc.

    The 2018 edition will feature 2 panel discussions on pipeline safety and public perception and 20 technical sessions covering all aspects of life-time extension strategies for ageing and future pipeline projects.

    Since 2017 ARPEL (Regional Association of Oil, Gas and Biofuels Sector Companies in Latin America and the Caribbean) is official supporter of the Pipeline Technology Conference.

    Ernesto Landa from COGA (Compañía Operadora de Gas del Amazonas), member company of ARPEL, will give a presentation on "Good practices for the diagnosis of Cybersecurity in Industrial Environments" in the "Cyber Security Session" on Monday, 12 March in the afternoon.

    More than 70 exhibiting companies from all over the world will present their solutions in the ptc exhibition hall where all conference breaks will take place, affording at the same time great networking opportunities.

    Two seminars on “Inline Inspection” and “Geohazards in Pipeline Engineering” will conclude the program on the following two days.
