The Gleneagles Plan of Action; Impact on Oil & Gas Industry. During July 6-8, 2005, the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and United States of America, met in Gleneagles, Scotland, UK, to discuss -among other issues- how to release poverty in Africa, combating global AIDS and plans to curb emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases as a means to address climate change.
