Together with the member company GeoPark, ARPEL's Health, Environment and Industrial Safety Committee organized last August 9 the virtual workshop "Preventive Health and Safety Management Tools".

In a post-pandemic context where a very significant increase of fatalities in the industry is observed at a global level, Matías Vásquez Cárdenas, Health and Safety Advisor of GeoPark, presented the accident rate trends of the industry in South America and then, how GeoPark applies its main preventive management tools to avoid the occurrence of labor incidents.

The workshop continued with an interactive session where participants shared their company experiences, discussed their primary management tools, and addressed the current challenges presented by the oil and gas sector in the region.
