December, 2011 –Last 30th November, ARPEL and Petrobras organized the Third Meeting between the Oil and Automotive Industries. Knowledge Management Forum

November, 2011 –On October, 25th and 26th was realized the Knowledge Management Forum, organized by Ecopetrol with ARPEL´s support. The event took place at the Club Campestre in Bucaramanga (Colombia) and it´s general objective consisted on identifying best practices related to the results´ measurement, impact valuation, and the creation of sustainable cultures of knowledge management in the enterprises

Workshop Custody transfer in terminals

November, 2011 - ARPEL organized on November 8th and 9th the workshop Custody transfer in oil and gas terminals, with EPPetroecuador as its hostess. The objective was the exchange of experiences and knowledge with regards to custody transfer of products in oil and gas terminals in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, it aimed at identifying possible opportunities to develop projects in ARPEL with the purpose to address gaps that may be detected on these topics.

Workshop for the Review of the Sectoral Energy Report

November, 2011 –ARPEL organized jointly with ALADI, CIER, CEPAL, CAF, OLADE, OEA and WEC the Workshop for the Presentation and Validation of the advances on the project “Sectoral Energy Report of Latin America and the Caribbean – Towards a New Regional Energy Agenda”, which took place at ALADI´s headquarters on November 3rd and 4th.

WEC joins ALADI, ARPEL, CEPAL, CIER, OEA and OLADE Project

October, 2011 –On occasion of the meeting convened by ALADI about “Latin America and the G20: building a space for dialogue”, ALADI, ARPEL, CEPAL, CIER & OEA, subscribed the Protocol for the incorporation of the World Energy Council (WEC) to their joint project “Sectoral Energy Report for Latin America and the Caribbean – Towards a New Energy Agenda”.

October 2011 – ARPEL workshop on on “Vehicular safety and occupational health management in the oil and gas industry in Latin America and the Caribbean” took place during 18 - 19 October and counted with the presence of international speakers and the participation of 50 professionals of the regional industry. The Workshop Task Force recorded the most relevant aspects of the Workshop for them to be considered by ARPEL Environment, Health and Safety Committee (CASYSIA).
