Introducción
The energy transition is becoming increasingly important for policymakers around the world. Decarbonization efforts span various segments of the energy landscape, but the power sector remains a central focus of many initiatives driving the energy transition. This module will examine the role of natural gas and renewable energy to date, as well as the key trends that will support both in remaining essential components of the global energy matrix.
Dates to be confirmed:
UPSTREAM MODULE: Week of August 11, 2025
GAS & RENEWABLES MODULE: Week of September 22, 2025
Temario
The first part of the module will provide an overview of the global landscape and highlight key trends underscoring the role of renewables. Particular attention will be given to technology and its potential to reshape the energy path. The second day will focus on the gas sector, exploring how different fuels compete and complement one another in varying proportions over time, with a particular emphasis on the power sector in Latin America.
The module will be enriched by interactive sessions, enabling participants to understand the structural changes in Latin America's energy sector, assess risks, and define strategic pathways for different stakeholders in a rapidly evolving environment. Scenario-based exercises will also be conducted to help participants grasp the driving forces and major uncertainties in the region, with a focus on technological factors that support strategic and business thinking.
A technical visit is scheduled for the third day.
