Arpel and the Bolivian Chamber of Hydrocarbons and Energy (CBHE) have recently signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting technical and institutional cooperation within the energy sector.
The document was signed by representatives from both organizations—Carlos Garibaldi, Executive Secretary of Arpel, and Enzo Michel, Executive Director of CBHE—and will remain in effect for 10 years.
Concerning the agreement, Garibaldi stated: “CBHE and Arpel, as complementary institutions, can foster the essential multisectoral dialog required to achieve successful, just, plural, and inclusive energy transitions in Bolivia and across Latin America and the Caribbean. CBHE thus complements its deep knowledge of Bolivia’s energy situation and outlook with Arpel’s global and regional perspectives. Within these roles, technical and institutional cooperation initiatives are possible, including joint efforts related to sustainable energy development in Bolivia, involving all stakeholders connected to the activities and processes that comprise the energy chain. Arpel is proud to have the opportunity to work hand in hand with CBHE.”
“This agreement marks a milestone for our institution in the pursuit of strategic alliances that enable us to contribute to cooperation and sustainable energy development in the region and in Bolivia,” said Enzo Michel.
“Cooperation with Arpel will strengthen our technical and institutional capacities, and this memorandum paves the way for developing synergy that will lead to various activities benefiting our members,” Michel added.
Among the cooperation actions outlined in the document, key highlights include mutual collaboration in various activities aligned with the competencies and goals of each institution, as well as the promotion of exchange, the pursuit of synergies, and the implementation of joint initiatives in technical projects relevant to the industry.
Additionally, both entities will promote mutual support in the planning and execution of events, including the organization of joint initiatives.
