
On April 23, the new authorities of Arpel were elected during the Annual Assembly of Representatives, held at the offices of YPF.
GeoPark chairs the new Arpel Board of Directors, and YPF and Pan American Energy share the vice presidency.
Martín Terrado, Chief Operating Officer of GeoPark, will serve as the highest authority on the Board of Directors of Arpel until November 2026.
With almost 30 years’ experience in developing and operating assets in Argentina, the United States, Venezuela and Colombia, Terrado is a Petroleum Engineer from the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires (ITBA) and has an MBA from the IAE Business School of the Austral University.
Under GeoPark’s leadership at Arpel, the company will promote collaborative work, the exchange of experiences, and the development of joint solutions to the challenges facing the industry in the region.

Meanwhile, the vice presidency held by YPF and Pan American Energy will be carried out by Juan Manuel Ardito, Vice President Operations Upstream at YPF, and Fernando Guzmán Cieri, Operation Environmental Executive Manager at PAE.
The Arpel Board of Directos also included seven other member companies: Ancap, NGC, OCP Ecuador, Staatsolie, S&P Global, Tema, and TGN.
Arpel is a non-profit association gathering oil, gas and renewable energy sector companies and institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Its members currently operate in more than 30 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including national and international operating companies; technology, goods and services providers for the value chain, and national and international institutions in the sector.
