Lanzamiento Comité de Transiciones Energéticas de Arpel

A fines de abril en Montevideo se llevó a cabo el lanzamiento del Comité de Transiciones Energéticas de Arpel, el cual cuenta con la coordinación de Irene Alfaro, Directora Gerente de la Asociación.

Como antesala a la primera reunión del Comité, tuvo lugar un taller de intercambio, realizado en el marco de la Conferencia ANCAP-ARPEL, que reunió a profesionales de Ancap, Chevron, EP Petroecuador, Ecopetrol, Honeywell, NGC, Recope, Petrobras, Petropar, Raizen, SLB, S&P Global, Staatsolie e YPF.

El objetivo de esta jornada fue intercambiar experiencias, desafíos y oportunidades de las empresas socias de Arpel en los caminos recorridos hacia su transición energética, a los efectos de generar una línea de base para construir lineamientos y temáticas a trabajar en Arpel en el corto plazo.

La reunión de lanzamiento del Comité de Transiciones Energéticas de Arpel contó con la participación de 27 ejecutivos representantes de 20 empresas socias.

Durante el encuentro, el Comité definió las principales líneas de trabajo para los próximos dos años. Los temas que fueron considerados con potencial para ser tratados de forma colaborativa fueron: Análisis de riesgos climáticos físicos y de transición; Mercados de carbono, precio interno al carbono y compensaciones; Transiciones justas, y Marcos regulatorios e impuestos/incentivos al carbono.

Los objetivos, entregables y plazos serán los próximos pasos que dará este importante Comité de trabajo de Arpel en un tema tan crucial como lo son las Transiciones Energéticas en la región.
