Prevención de Emergencias Mayores en la Explotación de Campos No Convencionales: webinar Arpel y EP Petroecuador

Profesionales de 20 empresas del sector participaron de la charla de intercambio de mejores prácticas sobre “Prevención de Emergencias Mayores en la Explotación de Campos No Convencionales”, organizado por el Comité de Exploración y Producción de Arpel (CEPA) el pasado 12 de noviembre.

La presentación estuvo a cargo de Héctor Morán, especialista en Seguridad de Procesos de EP Petroecuador.

La moderación fue de Pablo Amoedo, Gerente de Proyectos de Arpel y coordinador del CEPA.

La industria de hidrocarburos maneja químicos altamente peligrosos por lo tanto es susceptible a emergencias mayores como incendios, explosiones o derrames que pueden causar contaminación de fuentes de agua dulce.

El objetivo de este webinar fue repasar la normativa OSHA 1910, que dicta pautas a seguir de manera multidisciplinaria con la finalidad de prevenir emergencias mayores, que pueden ser aplicables en perforación, reacondicionamiento e incluso en operaciones de estimulación de pozos convencionales y no convencionales. Además, se aportaron casos de estudio concretos.

La implementación de sistemas de gestión de seguridad, la capacitación continua del personal y la adopción de tecnologías avanzadas para la detección y control de riesgos son mejores prácticas fundamentales para la prevención de emergencias mayores.
