Report Conference Arpel 2026

This report presents the highlights of the ARPEL Conference 2026, held in Buenos Aires from June 1 to 4 under the theme: "Together We Are Energy – Promoting Oil & Gas Sector Competitiveness, Energy Security and Economic Growth in Latin America and the Caribbean."

The eighth edition of the ARPEL Conference brought together 600 senior energy executives from 25 countries, with an agenda featuring more than 100 renowned speakers.

The Report is organized into seven main topics, with each chapter opening with the most relevant key figures and quotes:

    • Geopolitics, Energy Security and Business Scenarios for Latin America.
    • Regional Upstream Competitiveness: Vaca Muerta and the Unconventional Potential. CEO Panels.
    • Natural Gas and LNG: A Pillar of Energy Security and Regional Integration.
    • Regional Upstream Competitiveness: Deepwater and Conventional Fields.
    • New Trends in Refining and the Future of Downstream
    • Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and the Future of Work.
    • Climate Risks, Operational Resilience and Financial Disclosure.

Each topic concludes with a dedicated section summarizing the main conclusions and key findings.

The Report also includes a final section covering Governance activities and parallel technical events organized by ARPEL's Technical Committees during the Conference, both at member companies' facilities and at the Conference venue:
