Introduction

From June 1 to 4, 2026, at the Hilton Buenos Aires Hotel, the eighth edition of the Arpel Conference will take place under the theme “TOGETHER WE ARE ENERGY. Promoting Oil & Gas Sector Competitiveness, Energy Security and Economic Growth in Latin America and the Caribbean".

The Arpel Conference 2026 takes place at a pivotal moment for the regional energy agenda. This edition offers a comprehensive perspective on competitiveness, energy security, transition, innovation, talent, financing, and the challenges that will shape the future of the sector.

In this message, Carlos Garibaldi, Arpel’s Executive Secretary, shares the vision behind this new edition: collaboration, anticipating emerging trends, and strengthening the sector’s competitiveness in a challenging global landscape.
