Hydrocarbons will continue to provide the bedrock of energy security for the conceivable future. Renewable
energies seem to be adding to hydrocarbon supply but not replacing it. Given ever growing energy demand
and worrying decline in investment in oil & gas, should we ask ourselves whether we should stop exploring
and developing, or whether we should do more of it?
We are in the crosshairs, so we must grow our production safely and with fewer emissions. However, our
safety performance in the last few years has largely plateaued. How do we increase production, decarbonize
and continue our safety performance improvement journey? Is our Digital Transformation essential to achieve
these three goals?
